Preface

We are proud to present the proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Materials for Energy & Environmental Engineering (ICM3E’24), held in Algiers, Algeria, from November 26 to 28, 2024. This biennial event, organized by the Research Center in Semiconductors Technology for Energetic (CRTSE). The ICM3E’24 event will be a meeting for exchange and knowledge sharing between academic scientists, researchers, research scholars and engineers in the latest research and developments in the area of materials for energy. This conference will be an opportunity to promote new original research subjects in the photovoltaic field for bulk materials and thin layers, environmental engineering, modeling and simulation of inherent devices, processes as well as studies on surfaces and interfaces of nanomaterials and energy storage. It will also provide a platform to establish and develop collaborations and partnerships between researchers, academics and industrials. The conference will have a fair balance of plenary sessions on cross-cutting issues and the state-of-the-art reviews plus in-depth parallel sessions on specific topics with invited, and poster presentations. ICM3E'24 provides a platform for researchers to present their cutting-edge work through eight plenary conferences, envolving the 4 thematic conference topic, and cumulation 150 presentations (including oral and posters presentations). The rigorous selection process, with 150 works chosen after abstract reviewing made by the Scientific Comity, ensures a high-quality program. This edition also offers the unique opportunity for free publication in a special issue of the prestigious (JREEN) journal. We believe that ICM3E'24 conference will be an opportunity to give our Center a greater audience in the scientific concert especially in the field of material science and energetics.
